Mio rolls out C710 and C310 personal navigation devices

Mio is putting out a brace of GPS units with the C710 and C310 personal navigation devices. The former is the higher end unit of the pair, sporting Bluetooth connectivity and embedded, lifetime traffic monitoring functionality, making it handy for avoiding ad hoc traffic problems like road construction zones. The unit also has media player functionality, allowing photo viewing and video playback on its 3.5-inch TFT LCD. Its 2GB of ROM comes pre-loaded with US and Canadian maps, with an SD/MMC slot available for memory expansion. The less powerful sibling is the C310 (pictured, right), which includes a similar featureset to that of the C710 but without the Bluetooth and embedded traffic monitoring (the latter still available as a separate add-on package). Both units measure 5.5 x 3 x 1-inches and will be available in Q1 for $899 and $599, respectively.
