Corsair ships Vengeance gaming mice and keyboards, procrastinating shoppers rejoice
Remember that Vengeance line of gaming products that Corsair outed a few months back? We'll forgive you if not, and we'll also take this opportunity to refresh your memory while affirming that the company is shipping the bulk of 'em out just in time for the holidays. The Vengeance K60 and Vengeance K90 gaming keyboards and the Vengeance M60 and Vengeance M90 laser gaming mice and all clad in aluminum, with the K Series aimed at first-person shooter loyalists and the Ms aimed at those who just generally want to be awesome. You can catch up on the nitty-gritty just after the break, but here's the bad news: the K90, K60, M90 and M60 will go for $129, $109, $79 and $69 in order of mention. %Gallery-141889%

Image sensors keep getting more and more pixels shoved onto their tiny surfaces, but still VGA video capture just won't die. The latest to extend its legacy is the Pentax Optio M90, a 12.1 megapixel compact that gathers light through a 5x (28-140mm equivalent) lens up front and records to SD/SDHC cards. It naturally sports all the fancy smile- and blink-detection modes you'd expect in a little shooter, plus a so-called Copy mode, which pledges to somehow make it act like a hand-held scanner. We're intrigued, but the lack of HD video capture is a definite bummer. Neither price nor specific availability have been announced, but we're going to guess cheapish and soon.
Tim Stevens04.28.2010Dell prepping Precision M6300?
Notebook Italia has shots and specifications for a rumored 17-inch Dell Precision M6300 laptop, which could replace the ageing Dell Precision M90. We'll start with the most interesting feature, which is a BTO option for up to 8GB of installed RAM available when you include a copy of Vista 64-bit. Beyond that, the M6300 is rumored to feature Intel Core 2 Duos from 1.8GHz up to 2.4GHz, with a 2.6GHz Intel Core Extreme X7800 topping out the line. It'll also come with options for NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M, 2600M, or FX 3600M graphics cards. There will apparently also be options for 1440x900, 1900x1200, and 1920x1200 glossy and matte displays, and a Blu-ray drive configuration. The word is that this model could ship by August 31st, so at least you haven't got long to wait.
