'The Walking Dead' mobile game will keep pace with the TV show
The game will bring new missions the morning after each new episode.
The Walking Dead: Our World is a mobile game that plunges you into the zombie-filled world of its televised namesake. As season nine of the AMC TV show premieres, the publisher has announced that the game will offer new missions that correspond to each new episode. From Monday October 8th, and every subsequent Monday, the game will add themed jaunts based on what transpired on AMC the night before.
Hardcore players who complete between three and five of these special missions a week will get big prizes for their virtual army. Casuals, meanwhile, can look forward to seeing TV characters popping up as rewards when they complete episode-specific infestations. According to AMC's Clayton Neuman, the channel has "worked with Next Games to weave upcoming events from the show into the design of the game." What will be interesting, too, is how the title will handle the much-publicized departure of some of the show's cast in the not-too-distant future.
