It doesn't end with the Samsung Reclaim -- oh no, Sprint's eco-effort is going far beyond that. Well, maybe not far beyond that, but at least we're not just talking phones anymore. The carrier has announced that it's now offering a line of dedicated Earth-friendly accessories, including a couple cases made from recycled materials, a dual-mode universal car / wall charger that's Energy Star 2.0 compliant for minimum vampire power draw, and a single-panel Solio charger. To help call attention to the line, there'll be a dedicated web portal in addition to special in-store presence, so if you're a Sprint customer, odds are you'll have a hard time missing this stuff in the coming months.

Like the broad, sun-catching leaves of a plant – nature's original sun catcher – the Solio nabs that sun but, instead of creating carbs via photosynthesis, it powers your equally life-sustaining portable gadgets. While the Solio's been around the block before, the new Solio Magnesium Edition is a little more rugged which, ideally, means it oughta stay away from the landfill a little longer than its predecessor. The unit comes with adapters and a wall charger (for those of you who live underground) and is available for £99.95. If you could care less about the fancy new shell, the original Solio has been redubbed the Solio Classic and is now available for under £50.

Working Assets, an MVNO on Sprint's network, makes a habit of supporting a handful of causes by donating 1 percent of subscribers' charges to "progressive nonprofits" -- but how's about doing some good of its own? Customers and potential customers can now scoop up this cool looking "Solio" solar charger for free when purchased with an LG 150 flip for $69 on contract. The charger accepts power from either a wall outlet or that big, glowing thing in the sky, ready to dispense juice to the LG in your pocket at a moment's notice. Working Assets claims the Solio weighs in at a $100 value, so we figure $0 ain't a bad deal; sure, the 150 isn't the coolest phone in the world, but we figure that little indiscretion is more than made up with the badass charger.[Via RCR Wireless News]

The Solio is a solar-powered iPod charger that you can use to give your iPod (or phone, or PDA) some more juice when an outlet isn't available (we first took at look at the Solio in November of '04). With the iPod connected and the solar fans unfurled, the Solio will give your iPod one hour of life per hour of charge. Plus, if your iPod is completely flatlined, you can run it off of the Solio via a stored charge. It's now available in black for those of you concerned with matching your accessories. It costs $100US.[Via iLounge]
