If you turned pale at the thought of paying close to $1,000 to get the new iPad Pro and its trackpad-equipped keyboard cover, don't worry -- there will be a much more affordable alternative. Logitech has introduced a $150 Combo Touch keyboard case for the 2019 iPad, 2019 iPad Air and 2017 iPad Pro that includes a trackpad to take advantage of iPadOS 13.4's imminent mouse support. They all attach using Apple's Smart Connector and offer many perks similar to Apple's Magic Keyboard, including backlit keys and trackpad gestures.
Leaked documents suggest Huawei violated Iran sanctions
Internal documents reviewed by Reuters show that Huawei shipped computer equipment made by Hewlett-Packard to Iran's largest mobile operator in 2010. The documents provide strong evidence that Huawei was involved in alleged trade sanction violations. They could potentially be used to strengthen the United States' multifaceted case against Huawei.
Apple's iPhone 11 battery case includes a dedicated camera button
Apple has introduced new versions of its Smart Battery Cases for the latest iPhones, but this time there's a better reason to buy than just the extra longevity. Its newly-released cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max all include a dedicated camera button that can launch the Camera app, take a photo or (if you hold it) record video. The concept of a camera button on an iPhone case certainly isn't new, but this is an official option -- and it's hard to find a case that also extends your battery.
Nintendo's snap-on Switch Lite case arrives in the US on December 8th
There are already a number of good Switch Lite cases available, but Nintendo might just have one more. The gaming giant has revealed that its previously Japan-only Flip Cover & Screen Protector will be available in the US on December 8th for $40 through online stores, and at retail in early 2020. As you can see, the snap-on case focuses on safeguarding your Switch Lite with a minimum of bulk. There aren't spaces for cartridges, power adapters or other accessories, but that might not matter if you either have spots for those in a bag or just want to keep your system safe.
Apple may sell iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Smart Battery Cases
If you recently purchased an iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, you may want to hold off buying a case for your new smartphone. Apple may have a Smart Battery Case for its iPhone 11 lineup in the works. 9to5Mac found a photo of the unannounced accessory (seen above) by looking through the code of iOS 13.2, which Apple launched yesterday.

Judge refuses to block the release of ‘The Laundromat’ on Netflix
A judge in Connecticut has refused to block the release of The Laundromat, which arrived on Netflix today. Earlier this week, the lawyers portrayed in the film filed a defamation claim, arguing that the movie unfairly cast them in a negative light. As Deadline reports, Judge Janet Bond Arterton has refused to issue the injunction, but only because Arterton says the Connecticut court had no jurisdiction over the issue. Instead, the case will be transferred to California.
Crowdfunded case will give your Windows PC that Mac Pro look
Do you like the look of Apple's redesigned Mac Pro, but would rather not drop $5,999 on a workstation just to have that cheese-grater-on-steroids casing? You might not have to. Dune Case is close to crowdfunding the Dune Pro, a standard PC case that unsubtly mimics Apple's airflow-centric design. On the outside, it's basically a Mac Pro without Apple's logo -- you'll need to buy a "Dice Y" sound dampening cover to get the full look, but the stainless steel frame and aluminum enclosure are uncannily similar. The main sacrifice is the use of a more conventional side panel instead of the real Mac Pro's pull-up cover.
Razer case keeps your iPhone cool during intense gaming sessions
Razer is jumping into the crowded world of iPhone cases, but with (what else?) a decidedly gaming-oriented twist. The company's newly introduced Arctech and Arctech Slim rely on a custom-developed Thermaprene material and perforations to transfer heat away from 2018 and newer iPhones (including the iPhone 11 line) as well as the Razer Phone 2, theoretically preserving your handset's performance and battery life while you're in a frenzied game session. The jury's still out on that, but Razer's tests showed the phone staying within recommended temperature limits for two hours where an unspecified rival case saw the phone run hot within 20 minutes. If nothing else, the Arctech won't make things worse like some cases can.
Nintendo is selling a handy snap-on case to protect the Switch Lite
The Nintendo Switch Lite is small enough to fit in your pocket, but you might want to stuff it in a case for added protection when you'd prefer to shove it in your bag. Many Switch cases are unfortunately pretty bulky, which negates the smaller form factor a bit. Thankfully, Nintendo has a solution.
Google quietly shelves custom Pixel phone cases
Google's Pixel 3a might have been good news for fans of mid-range phones, but it marked the death knell for one of the company's signature phone features: its customizable cases. The 9to5Google crew has discovered that Google axed the personalized My Cases it introduced alongside the Pixel 3, leaving you with just the ordinary fabric cases if you insist on getting official protection. The company's support page now says that the accessories are "no longer sold by Google."
Palm's tiny (pointless) phone gets its own battery case
The new Palm is a tiny smartphone for occasions when your regular device is just too overwhelming. There's now a battery pack that will address the bite-size phone's short battery life. Mophie has released a battery case and power station keychain for the Palm.
The LG V50's Dual Screen is a half-step towards a foldable phone
Despite foldable phones being all the rage at MWC, one of the bigger companies at the show didn't have one. LG has been clear that it won't introduce a foldable phone anytime soon, choosing instead to focus on its 5G flagship, the V50 ThinQ. And it's for good reason. As the company's head of mobile Brian Kwon told The Korea Times earlier this month, LG's more pressing concern "is to regain its market position. Considering this situation, it is too early for LG to launch a foldable smartphone." So instead of trotting out a foldable model for the hordes in Barcelona to swoon over, it showed off a second-display case for the V50 ThinQ. Or as LG calls it, the Dual Screen.
Galaxy S10 leak suggests a lineup with three variants
Prolific phone leaker Evan Blass has already posted an image that appears to show the front of Samsung's Galaxy S10, and now he's tweeted a family photograph showing off three variants wrapped in cases. Left to right, you're apparently looking at the S10E, S10 and S10+, and while it's unclear what E could stand for, (Edge? Economy? Equilibrium?), the S10 is said to measure at about 5.8-inches with the Plus stepping up to 6.4-inches. The Plus seems to have a double-hole punch up front, while the rear cameras have a different multiple-lens alignment and count than the quad-camera Galaxy A9 that Samsung released last year. Of course none of these appear to be fold-up models featuring Samsung's Infinity Flex display, but the S10 will be its standard bearer that we're expecting to meet at an event just ahead of Mobile World Congress 2019 in February. Other than the front pic that flashed a hole punch-style camera, other leaks have pointed to a new Bright Night mode for its camera that could rival Google's Night Sight on Pixel devices. All should be revealed February 20th, one way or another.
Mophie's wireless iPhone battery case keeps your Lightning port free
Many iPhone battery cases use the Lightning port to keep your handset topped up, and that's obviously a problem when there's no headphone jack. Case makers either need to add a port back or make you forego wired listening altogether. Mophie, however, has a simple solution: wireless charging. Its newly unveiled Juice Pack Access relies solely on Qi to power the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, keeping the Lightning port open for wired headphones while adding 25 to 31 hours of extra talk time. This also avoids the bulky chin that you've seen in the past.
Nintendo could make a playable Game Boy phone case
Now that Nintendo has a couple of nostalgia-inducing consoles under its belt, there's a common question: how would it tackle the Game Boy and other handhelds of yesteryear? We might have an idea. The USPTO recently published a Nintendo patent application for a folio case that would turn a smartphone into a functioning Game Boy replica, complete with physical buttons that translate presses into touchscreen input. It's more than a little familiar if you've tried a device like Hyperkin's Smart Boy, only here you wouldn't need to plug in cartridges to play officially sanctioned game copies.
