Daniel Cooper is Engadget’s roving reporter, tackling the topics both big and small that shape our world. He has been writing about the future for more than 25 years, and abandoned a promising career as an intellectual property lawyer to join Engadget in 2011. His interests include climate change, sustainability, transportation, health tech, wearables, the interaction of technology with sexuality, smart tech and the future of arts and culture — oh and Star Trek, he does that, too. He has appeared on BBC News, Cheddar, ABC News Radio and BBC Radio, and his work has been featured in The New York Times and The AV Club, amongst many others. He lives in Norwich with his family, and is only doing this until he can become the executive producer of Doctor Who.
