The GXV-3000 SIP based videophone from Grandstream
Grandstream Networks is throwing down their new GXV-3000 videophone based on the SIP standard. It uses the H.264 codec for pumping the video stream, and supports bit rates from 64Kb to 1Mb for up to 30fps QVGA conferencing on its 5.6-inch LCD screen. You can also use the RCA jacks for hooking the phone into your TV, but that's about as fancy as it gets. The $295 price isn't exactly bargain basement, but if it's as easy to use as it looks, then these Grandstream peeps might be on to something.
